Words for the Wise

Be careful when an affiliate marketing product or service is offered to you. It may seem to be too good to be true, and if so, it probably will be. Inflated claims from advertising is as old as the hills. After all, how many times have you heard or seen the same advice repeated time and again?
With the increase in affiliate programs, it seems that everyone claims to be different and better than all the others. Plus, they tell you that it's an easy process, just putting a banner or two in place. Then, they promise more profits than you could ever imagine. It may have been true of some of the early internet marketing pioneers, but for the rest of us, it takes some work and time.
If done correctly, email can really help your marketing efforts, but you've got to use email the right way. You've got to be careful of being identified as a spammer. Better that your reputation is to stand by your product or service, and to be available for questions and the advice that others will invariably ask for.
Consider using an article as part of your email advertising, and provide this as an incentive to find out more information. You've got to grab the attention and interest of your readers. You want to get them involved in your site and the products or services you are marketing. Always include a link to your site to promote visitors to it.
